Dean Wesley Smith is one of those inveterate bringers of awesome. He did a piece a while back on short stories and how to balance everything in the goofy as shit publishing world in which we find ourselves.
Now he does the same thing with novels and concludes that there is no balance. Unless you’re getting a large advance, it’s indie all the way.
